Session at YNiC

Today we had our introductory session at YNiC – thanks to Sam and colleagues for doing such a good job with the presentation and demos.

We also handed out a short question sheet on what was covered today. Some of the answers will be used to provide supporting information for the exhibition when it opens.

The questions also introduced the idea of ‘Ethics’ to help prepare for the ethics debates we will be hosting in our next session at Archbishop Holgate’s.

The question sheet is also available for download here

We all also had a go with manipulating scan data and producing some very interesting images of heads and brains in various stages of dissection! The software used is called OsiriX and is very intuitive. Everyone was up and running with it after only the briefest tutorial. It is available for Mac OSX is free (!) and can be downloaded from here.
